Health Care Ethics and Litigation

This program will offer the abililty to review the legal and ethical approach to decision making in the hospital setting. Kim Thomas will briefly cover the key elements of the medical litigation process, medical malpractice claim, and a review of a HIPAA breach. While Dr. Matthew Stolick will cover the ethics and ethical related issues related to medical cases. Collaboratively the two presenters will lead case discussions in which the application of both legal and ethical issues will be discussed.
