The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of contiuning pharmacy education.
- Identify key current debates in drug control and be able to articulate the President's National Drug Control Strategy. Participants will be able to discuss prescription drug abuse trends, issues around marijuana policy, and other key national policy issues.
- Describe key goals of national drug control policy, including those aimed at reducing prevalence and consequences, such as drug overdose deaths, addiction, family consequences, and other key harms.
- Interpret proper tradeoffs that contribute to formulating effective drug policy, such as the weighing of harms of policies and maximizing utilty.
- Discuss key issues surrounding controversial issues, such as alternative drug control policies around marijuana.
